Thyroplex is a naturopathic practitioner product specifically aimed at assisting normal healthy production of thyroid hormoes. Thyroplex contains nutrients and herbs to support liver function and detoxification - this is important, as the liver is essential in the metabolism and transport of thyroid hormone.

Thyroplex contains:

Zinc - which supports both thyroid hormone production and peripheral conversion of T4 to T3
Selenium - used for an enzyme, (iodothyronine deiodinases) which converts T4 to T3 thus regulating thyroid hormone metabolism.
Vitamin A and E also influence peripheral metabolism (peripheral metabolism - is the conversion of T4 into the active T3 by an enzyme called 5'deidinase). This conversion predominately occurs in the liver and thyroid.
The addition of Bupleurum falcatum supports the liver by acting as a hepatoprotective and alongside taurine, cysteine and methionine supports the liver.

The advantage of Thyroplex is it contains no added gluten, shellfish, soy protein, wheat or yeast and is vegan friendly.
